2016 meant goodbye to some of my music heroes, beacons who were there throughout my life, one of them of course being David Bowie. I organised a concert evening in Copenhagen called Tribute Bowie which featured various Danish acts interpreting Bowie favourites of theirs. 2015 marks the forty years anniversary of Vladimir Putin joining the ranks of the KGB, and in recent years he has done his bit in trying to resurrect the Cold War. So, thank you, Vlaidimir-dear for making these songs relevant again. Here are my renditions of Sting's Russians, featuring Tess Fries on guest vocals, and Nena's 99 Luftballons, featuring New Days Delay's Insa Knapp on lead vocals, as well as my own Nostalgia, featuring Giedo Primo and Henrik Hansen on TB303 and electric guitar respectively.
